Our last tickets to the AZ Opry. We have some on the 22nd but to the Silver Star. So we'll compare and see. Always a fun time. This happened to be the Rock n Roll show, lots of oldies but goodies sang.
Have been saying for a couple years about going to the Commemorative Air Force Museum and finally made it this year. What an interesting place. Spoke with a couple veterans, one from WWII and one Vietnam. We thank them for their service and for the stories they shared and the knowledge of the planes.
can you imagine being lifted injured and flown out in this.....what bravery.....both for pilot and injured soldier.....
This is a Russian plane similar to the Mach 2....
This plane was awesome...the B17.....sooooo big. They are restoring the inside and one day it will be offering rides. I will NEVER go but how nice for some. You can pay I believe it was 800 or 900$ to ride in the front where the bombardier would have sat. NO THANK YOU. Pictures just can't do the up close span of it justice.
Bombs that were carried underneath....
this is where you can pay the big bucks and ride......
this plane is giving rides....for a couple hundred you get about a 30-40 min ride.....
don't know if you can zoom in on these and read them but they are interesting facts
we all agreed that this was the best gift to have given Hitler...
Not many days left....we are all sad and sure not ready to leave this weather, but at the same time missing all of you at home. Hope you have stayed warm and can get the cold weather out of there before we head back. Be seeing you soon. Love you all.
