OH MY GOODNESS......What a day!!!

Headed to the red mountains of Sedona yesterday.  This was at the visitors center.  Little did we know that our day of excitement was going to be so much fun.

smile Papa....

After deciding we wanted to take the rugged jeep tour up into the red mountains, we waited in anticipation.

 We made it this far......

Paul and Steve opted for the back end of the jeep......smart thinking!!

cause it was hold on for your life in the center sections.......just ask Bev!!

and hold on we did.....We had some good laughs on this ride, believe me.

this was the first stop.....atop what was called Submarine mountain.....it was flat across with mounds on each end..

don't get close to the edge...

this was our group.....the guy with the hat on was the guide...Matt.....he did a great job.  AND believe it or not he had lived in DuPage County and was a park ranger there for years....

well....we've all made it this far.....Bev has been so brave....getting out with us...

Pictures can't describe the beauty, but I think you'll get the picture....

we had to hold Bev's hand to get her out on this rock......it was a little high and a little climbing...but she was determined to get out there with us.

there was a jeep behind us so Matt stopped to let us take pictures of what we had just done....

this is just a bit of what they take you through in these jeeps......rough and bumpy doesn't even describe it......we laughed so hard.....

straight down......oh my....

These rides are highly recommended by us.....if you are ever in Sedona....go for it.

and then to end the beauty of the day, we came home to this sunset..... a great day!!

Off to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow....so have to come back and check it out.  Hear you had more snow up there, I'm not sure why we are coming home in a few weeks....other than I miss everyone!!!  Pray for melting so we can get in the drive!!
