Our Chinese Lantern Festival didn't quite pan out....yet!! There was a misprint in the magazine we found it in and it doesn't start till NEXT weekend. So we made plans to go out there again on Feb. 5 since it runs for a week. So you'll have to keep and eye out for that. They had lots of things there to set up for it. Someone told Paul and Bev that it takes them a couple weeks to get everything all set up. So should be interesting, eventually!!
BUT Paul did get a shot of the world's tallest fountain. You may remember this from when we were out here last time.
several statues around the park, but this one caught my eye....
just for you Miss Avri.....
SO, today was a new day and Bev had heard about the Gold Canyon Arts fair and was told it was a good one. In spite of Steve's "it's in a church parking lot, Bev" we made our way there. It WAS in a church parking lot, but it was a big one!!! Lots of nice art....jewelry, paintings, pottery. Lots to choose from. Bev and I did make a purchase....of course!!!
Beautiful day to be out walking and shopping!!
Our entertainment.....
WELL OF COURSE, there was food there!! AND we managed to find something that we could partake of.....Bev and I had an Indian Fried Bread Taco and Paul and Steve had a HOT DOG!!! Are you not surprised that Paul would choose a hot dog over anything else!!!
Church tomorrow and who knows what. I have laundry screaming at me to get it done, but seems like something always comes along a little more interesting to do!! Maybe Monday!! Blessings!!
