Made a trip to Tempe today and visited Diablo Stadium, the Angels training center. Sorry all you EX- PUJOLS fans....but it was a beautiful place. We were fortunate enough to run into an older (retired) couple who work there and they were just coming in and offered to let us in to see the inside. Told us some stories and were so friendly. She ran the elevators for the big shots and he was a security person on the first base side. What better retirement job could you ask for!!!
They are still, always will be, CARDINAL fans....but we had to see this while out here.
Don't you feel sorry for teams that have to practice and play in areas like this before the season begins.....yea NOT!!
Well, you all know Paul and his eating, so we had to feed him. A very nice salesman told us there was a Portillo's that had opened out here recently and Paul's ears perked. Bev and Steve had never been, so off we went. Delicious to say the least. I believe we all left full, AGAIN!!
We enjoy this place every time we go to Shawn's and were so happy to hear there was one out here too.
Just keep praying for all of you up North. I know it has to be getting old. Do your best to stay upbeat and stay safe. Love and miss you.
