Gettysburg, Washington D.C. and Beyond

We recently went on a bus tour with a great group of friends from our church. ......on with our journey. Paul, Kenny and Steve.

Our first destination was Patterson's Air Force Base....had some awesome planes in it and lots of space craft. Very interesting place to visit.

Next stop was Gettysburg, PA and the battlefield. We had a VERY good tour guide who made the war seem like yesterday and had lots of interesting facts. Everyone should take the tour if you are near there.

Paul's favorite monument, if we had 1 we had 50 pics of this monument. It is an awesome sight from any where in the city.....

The Pentagon. We had a personal tour of it, saw where the plane entered on 911 and the memorial set up inside the building. It was a very interesting tour, lots of people working there.

On the Mall and all the memorials....this is the WWII one of which both our Dad's were a part of....

The National Cathedral...beautiful inside and out.

The White House. We were allowed to go on the tour and saw just a small section, 4 or 5 rooms. No sign of the President though.

Memorials for the 911 victims set up in the church that was close by and never damaged.

Ground Zero.....you can't see much because they are starting on the new memorial going up there. A very moving spot.

We took a night cruise of the harbour and this is the skyline.....was a beautiful evening and fun time.
